Its uncomfortable in the hospital. You can't go out, you can't open windows. The room where we're at is especially uncomfortable; there's only one light working, which means the bathroom has no light too, we have to use torchlight; there's no aircond and you can't open the windows so the door have to be open all the time; there's constructions going on because of the renovations in the other rooms so despite their best efforts there's clouds of dusts; the room is designed for 2 beds, but there's 4 beds in the room, 3 are occupied. Since I've been here, people have been saying that it feels like a prison. Dad is restless because there's nothing to do here, he's on the bed 90% of the time and he gets cranky. But on good days, dad will say something unexpected, like this:-

He thought it was funny :) His skin is not scaly like a fish, but its smooth like some fish without scales. Its also loose and soft. He lost a lot of weight these past few years.

P/S I use ArtRage 2 for the first time for this and if you follow that link, its a video showing someone drawing using this app. Its not me, unfortunately, I'm not that hebat yet.  It has stencils and rulers (that's why I can draw the boxes). The paint really have paint texture,which was a surprise. :) I'm still awkward with the pen, its weird looking down and not seeing anything drawn and you have to look up to see what you drew. Like drawing blindly. X3

I'm still at the hospital, looking after my dad and we've been keeping odd hours for the last 6 days. +_+ I feel like I'm back in Uni.
Thank God for Social network + Boop + Phone for the distractions.

Sometime we have random conversations on the Twitterverse and once in a while an opportunity comes up for me to draw it. This is one of those random lulz conversation.
Ahmad Justin was worrying about the amount of food he had and I replied. Somehow the subject of bears and hibernation came up. XD

Some Joke

There's an app I installed on the the Bamboo Dock called Doodler Its a very nifty app, reminds me of what it feels like to deface the back of my Maths book (its a subject I'm weak at. Along with Geography and Science). Woops! [Note to kids: Pay attention in class, stay in school!] Anyway, the app feels very smooth, like a pen would. So, smooth in fact that it captures my penmanship perfectly. Yes, its THAT bad. I've been struggling with the pen since the beginning although it feels tough. The good news is, it doesn't feel like an alien being anymore. I now can use it like a mouse but not as proficiently. I was checking up my FB when I saw this..COMMON PEOPLE. I raeg! The guy wanted to say 'Come on' but instead used 'Common'. Which resulted in this:-

Well, karma came swiftly to prove that I'm wrong too. Remember, I said I used the pen as a mouse? Well I mistook the touchpad as the tablet. ^_^" ehehehe......

I still do these kinds of hiccups. I still treat the buttons on the pen as left and right mouse clicks (which is wrong). But I'm learning. :)

P/S My bamboo is Bamboo Pen CTL 460. I call it Boop.

No, I don't really look like that. :p I used LiveBrush for this, an application you can get from the Wacom Bamboo site. I love the choice of brushes. I used two brushes only for this. One for the border and one for the sketch. The brush I used for sketch reminds me of Lat's drawings. We both look kinda European here X3 but actually he's an Indian and I'm Kadazan. Malaysian through and through :p
The only thing that gave me problem was...I can't find the eraser in  LiveBrush! And I don't know how to change the brush's color! +_+

I'm sorry I'm not that creative with the title but it is what I want to say. Hello everybody!
As the blog described, this is a blog I created specially for me to put up sketches I made with my Bamboo. (Basically its a site dump..without the sites).
I love the tablet because its a dream come true! My boyfriend gave it to me as a surprise birthday gift (I really thought he was going to give me something cute or a book :3) and was I surprised! Thank you so much sayang!
I'm not really good at it yet, as you'll see in my sketches. I really need to get used to it because now I feel the pen is not connecting to the paper. Kinda like the feeling when you're climbing down the stairs and you're sure that there's one step left but there isn't. (ouch)
Names of programs I use will be tagged, of course. And if I forget, please remind me X3
I will keep on practicing and posting, yes, even the bad ones.

P/S Why the name? Because I'm just starting, I feel like a baby with a crayon. The closest thing a bamboo can be compared to a baby is its shoot.The pen refers to the tablet's pen. The name URL is the Japanese version of Bamboo Shoot Pen.
